Truancy Program

Attendance Matters

Good attendance really matters to your student’s success which leads to success later in life. Attending school is extremely important for social, emotional, and educational development. The Knox County Attorney’s Office will be starting a Truancy program for the 2021-2022 school year to monitor students who have missed 10-15 or more days of school. The objective of the Truancy program is to support students who are habitually truant and to work with parents or guardians to identify the reason(s) for a student’s truancy and develop a plan and long term-goals to ensure student success.

Please reach out Sam Holecek or Angela Roskeland at the Knox County Attorney’s Office with any questions or concerns. Our number is 402-288-5635.
